Mahek is a first-year PhD student rotating in the Xing Lab. She graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in Genetics, a minor in Psychology, and a certificate in Computational Genetics. Her research interests involve developing and applying computational tools and pipelines to analyze genomic data in order to better understand the genetic and regulatory basis of disease. In her free time, Mahek enjoys arts and crafts, cooking, and music.
